In today’s interview, I spoke with Amber Taylor, a lash artist with over 3 years of experience. Amber  is passionate about helping her clients achieve the perfect lash look, and she is always up-to-date on the latest lash trends. She offers customization so your lash look is unique and ideal for your preferences. I decided to interview Amber for my blog because I recently had my lashes done by her and it was a remarkable experience worth sharing! 

During our interview, Amber shared her story on how she got started with this industry and how she got to be apart of the western community!

Let’s jump into the interview!

Tell me little about yourself! Who is Amber Taylor?

Amber: “My name is Amber Taylor, I’m from Granbury and I am a Military spouse to an veteran Kiowa Pilot and Harper native. I’m also a mother of one AMAZING 11 year old daughter.

 I LIVE to please others and love the smile I can bring to my clients by helping them look and feel their best for ALL occasions.

 I am not just your ONLY LICENSED lash artist in town…I think my clients and I are MORE. The friendships built here are long lasting… at LASH…it feels like family.

That is great to hear! What made you want to do lashes? 

Amber: “ After having a taste back in 2018 or so I could never look back. The luxury experience you can give someone, the time to listen and to take care of YOU for a change. You can provide the ability to allow someone to take time for themselves they so greatly deserve… you can’t beat that. There is also the constant challenge to make the perfect set for each client, the customization you can give each person and the instant joy you can bring to someone…it’s addicting! It’s also an added bonus to be your own boss! 😜”

I love the sound of that! That’s interesting! Now tell me what are/were some of your goals?

Amber: “ I would say my main goals are to NOT give up, to never stop learning, to be patient with myself and to give it 1000%. I’m not going to let my age distract me from what I know I’m capable of! I also want to start my own product line…which I’m starting on now! 🤗”

I can’t wait to see what you come up with! You are on the right path of success if you ask me. I want to know more about what you do and why you chose this career path. 

Amber: “I chose to get a SPECIALTY lash artist LICENSE (not certification…big difference) to really dig into something that is not offered in this area and become THE BEST for all my clients. I wanted to specialize in something to guarantee great work and let my clients KNOW they are getting luxury when you choose me! I never get tired of making people happy and this brings smiles to me AND them everyday!”

I did not know there were different areas to specialize in! That’s interesting! Can you clarify what a luxury experience is when it comes to lashes?

Amber: “ I feel like I give an experience that not many other artists give. It’s the little things that to make an experience luxurious. Not to mention the lashes used on my clients can’t be found anywhere else as I am the only artist in the U.S. that has that special brand of lashes.”

Incredible! I love that you put so much care and effort into making your clients feel right at home. The unique experience itself is amazing. Now, I’m sure the question in everyone’s mind now is how is your career connected to the Western Industry?

Amber: “ Shelby and I have followed one another for some time now and have spoken of sets on multiple occasions. I LOVE her look, her sass, her love of happiness and overall amazing attitude towards life. How can you not want to see your lashes on a  wonderful woman like that!?!? I try to influence on Social Media and educate beginners and salon owners the do’s and dont’s of lashing.” 

Thank you for the compliments! I am looking forward to our partnership and friendship! What is your long term goal? Where do you see yourself?

Amber: “ I want to have my own Lash Salon on Main st In Fredericksburg, TX!”

I can see that happening, you’re very dedicated to your work and I love how passionate you are!  When I got my lashes done by you it was the most rewarding and relaxing experience. Great! Is there anything else you’d like to add? 

Amber: “ I have a full service menu from extension (classic-mega)to lifts and tints, brow tints, facial waxing and mini spa facials.
