Raque is a passionate photographer who loves capturing the beauty of life in all its forms. She has been taking photos for quite sometime, and her love for photography only grew stronger as she expanded her portfolio.

Raque’s photography is known for its natural beauty and its ability to capture the essence of her subjects. She has a knack for finding the perfect moment and capturing it in a way that is both timeless and elegant. Raque’s work has been featured in numerous publications, and she graced the cover of some magazines.

In this blog post, I interviewed Raque about her photography business. We talked about her inspiration, her process, and her connections in the western industry.I hope you enjoy reading our conversation!

Let’s start off with telling us a bit about yourself. Who is Raque?

Raque: “My name is Raquelin Guerrero. I’m a 27 year old Texas Photographer based out of Menard, Texas. I currently travel all over the state of Texas for Weddings, Families, Maternity, etc. I have also traveled to Colorado, New Mexico, and South Carolina to work photography. I like to consider the color style of my work as true to life with a hint of warmth. I am also a mother to a beautiful and wild little boy that definitely keeps me on my toes.”

We’ve worked a lot on some shoots together but I never knew, What made you want to do your endeavor you’re doing now?

Raque: “I have enjoyed photography from a young age but never took it seriously until 2016 at the age of 20. I have always loved capturing personal moments but more so now that I recently experienced the loss of a very special person. The stand still of those memories will be cherished for many years to come.”

I love that, they always say a picture is worth a thousand words. In your work, it can be seen. You capture the life and the emotions of the moment, which is a magical touch. 

What are/were some of your goals you set for yourself ?

Raque: “ I used to have goals specifically for one moment in my life, but of course life doesn’t always go according to plan. I guess if I had to name a goal now it’s to make sure my little family stays healthy and happy, has everything they need and take them traveling.”

Your family is your greatest supporters to have in your corner. They will always be there rooting on your accomplishments. 

Let’s dig a little deeper into what you do. Tell me about what you do and why did you choose this career path.

Raque: “So, not only do I work as a photographer I am also a banker at my local bank. I graduated last year with my degree in Business; Specializing in Accounting and decided I wanted to get into banking.”

Excellent! That is awesome that you have different avenues you can go to for supporting your family. Have you always wanted to do what you are doing now ?

Raque: “Neither of these careers were ever on my radar. I didn’t know what I wanted to do after I graduated high school. I just knew I had to work and so that’s what I did. I only recently decided that I wanted to achieve a business degree.” 

How are you connected to the western fashion industry?

Raque: “Living in the country, I have always been surrounded by the western lifestyles but I wasn’t ever influenced by western fashion until I met Shelby. She was just starting out with modeling western fashion for boutiques as a brand ambassador and I just so happened to be available to photograph the outfits she model. From then on we became best friends and still continue to shoot western content any chance we can get. Photographing western fashion has also expanded my clientele for weddings here in Texas”

I love how we’ve both grown together in this industry. It’s also a bonus growing in this industry with your best friend.

What is one of your long term goals?

Raque: “My long term goal is just to keep loving what I do. I hope to never experience a burn out in either of these things.”
